Evonne Sunram
Evonne grew up in rural northwestern Minnesota. She tried different schools around the state and finally received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Minnesota. The process of art, from artist to consumer and how ideas show themselves, has inspired Evonne to work in the gallery business.
“As a young child I was given the gift of art. When I was sick once, my mother humored me by bringing out her college art portfolio. Such magic! My father instilled in me a deep respect and love of nature.”
“Today I love to paint the jewels of nature (preferably on site). When painting I try to step out of the way… to be a medium, as it were…. And let the truth, beauty and transcendence of nature come through. A tall task!”
