As an artist, you learn to let go.
It is the desire for control that will hinder your progress.
Control is gained through understanding
the nature of your medium,
and practicing your skill with patience.
Working with glass requires a clear understanding
and respect for the power of gravity.
The glass will fall in its own direction.
The role of the glassblower is to form this fall,
To dance with the glass until it finds absolution.
Nolan Prohaska has been producing hand blown glass since 1998. Nolan’s work is deeply connected to nature in form and color. Through the use of organic shapes and contrast of rich earth tones, each piece of glass becomes a reflection of nature.
